The Caviar Medium Check-In is designed for travellers who move with intention. Perfectly proportioned for 5 to 7 nights away, it offers a refined balance of practicality and poise, elevated by the craftsmanship and finish that define Globe-Trotter’s Deluxe range.

Handcrafted in England, the case is built from vulcanised fibreboard and finished in a deep, high-gloss lacquer that reflects the understated glamour of 1960s first-class travel. Chrome hardware and chocolate leather corners add richness and structure, while the four-wheel design ensures a smooth and composed glide through every stage of your journey.

Inside, the 60-litre interior is lined in sand-coloured, water-resistant drop-in fabric. The spacious layout offers flexibility for a curated wardrobe, with a structure that keeps everything neatly in place.

Considered in every detail, this is a travel piece that brings quiet confidence to every departure and arrival.

For a classic rolling experience, explore the two-wheel alternative. For extended travel, the Large Check-In offers additional capacity in matching style.

Vulcanised Fibreboard

Each case is made from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard, composed of 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable forests. The layers are bonded with zinc and compressed using steam and pressure. This results in a material that is exceptionally lightweight and strong, offering durability for a lifetime of travel while remaining easy to carry. We use this material for its unique balance of strength and lightness, which is exclusive to Globe-Trotter.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather

All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.

Ethical Sourcing

All leathers are ethically sourced. We partner only with suppliers who uphold high standards of animal welfare and environmental responsibility. This ensures full traceability and a commitment to sustainable production.

Webbing Straps

Webbing straps are woven from high-strength cotton, chosen for durability and a classic finish. Each strap is finished with hand-cut vegetable-tanned leather tips, providing added strength and an elevated detail. This combination ensures lasting reliability and refined style.

Handles

Handles are constructed from a blend of bonded leather and reinforcement materials, pressed for 48 hours before hand assembly. This method provides both comfort in the hand and long-term durability, making every journey effortless.

Lining

The interior is lined with a finely woven cotton or cotton-blend fabric, selected for its soft touch, strength, and complementary aesthetic.

Locks and Hardware

Locks and hardware are precision-engineered from carbon steel or solid brass, then finished in gold, chrome, or signature tones. Each piece is chosen for its security, durability, and ease of use.

Serial Plaque

A unique, individually numbered metal plaque is placed inside every case. This confirms authenticity and provides a permanent mark of provenance.
