Vulcanised Fibreboard
The main structure of the Jewellery Box is crafted from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard, comprising 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources. These layers are bonded with zinc and compressed under steam and pressure, resulting in a shell that is exceptionally lightweight, strong, and exclusive to Globe-Trotter. This material is chosen for its unmatched durability and its refined, iconic appearance.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather
All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.

All leather is ethically sourced, with full traceability and a commitment to animal welfare and environmentally responsible practices.
Internal Tray and Compartments
The interior features a removable wooden tray, precisely crafted for lightness and structure. The tray and compartments are lined with soft, premium cotton or cotton-blend fabric to protect jewellery and delicate items from scratches. Each compartment is finished with hand-cut vegetable-tanned leather trims for an elevated touch.
Handle
The top handle is made from reinforced, vegetable-tanned leather, bonded, pressed, and hand-finished to deliver comfort and durability.
Lining
The interior, including the tray and compartments, is lined with finely woven cotton or cotton-blend fabric, chosen for its gentle feel and long-lasting quality.
Locks and Hardware
The Jewellery Box is equipped with a precision-engineered combination lock and fittings crafted from carbon steel or solid brass, finished in gold, chrome, or signature tones. Each piece of hardware is selected for its secure functionality and refined aesthetic.
Serial Plaque
A unique, individually numbered metal plaque is placed inside every Jewellery Box, certifying authenticity and providing a lasting mark of provenance.
