F1 2024 Insider's Guide No. 20 – Mexico

The Mexico Grand Prix brings fun and excitement to the calendar, along with some incredible beaches and cities too. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, located in a park in Mexico City, is a fast and furious circuit steeped in history – named after the Rodríguez Brothers, who dominated Mexican motorsports. Originally built in 1959, it’s one of the oldest tracks in Formula One®, and its unique high-altitude location – at over 2,200 metres above sea level – makes it a real challenge for both cars and drivers due to the thinner air.

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso are ready to take on the challenging circuit where Fernando will be celebrating his 400th Formula One® Grand Prix.

After this thrilling race, there’s the chance to enjoy Mexico City’s intoxicating mix of vibrant nightlife and rich culture. Why not broaden your horizons by exploring Mexico’s diverse landscapes, archaeological treasures, surf spots and noted culinary scene?
