Inspired by a century of travel and timeless elegance, the Small Handbag is crafted for those who believe that everyday objects should tell a story. This compact silhouette reimagines Globe-Trotter’s iconic design codes into a form made for daily life. Built in England from the same vulcanised fibreboard used in our legendary suitcases, it carries the spirit of heritage in every detail.
The black leather trim is carefully cut, shaped, and stitched by hand, while gold-tone fittings lend a warm, polished contrast. Inside, the bag is perfectly proportioned for your daily essentials, with a secure push-lock closure and a detachable shoulder strap offering flexibility on the go. Whether held by the structured top handle or worn crossbody, it brings a quiet confidence to any setting.

Internal Features
Vulcanised fibreboard body with leather corners, handle and detachable strap.
External Features
Structured interior with leather trim and push-lock fastening.
Vulcanised Fibreboard
The main structure is made from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard, comprising 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources. Bonded with zinc and compressed with steam and pressure, this material is chosen for its exceptional lightness, strength, and distinctive character. It offers lasting protection and a refined finish unique to Globe-Trotter.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather
All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.
Ethical Sourcing
All leather is ethically sourced, ensuring traceability and a commitment to animal welfare and environmentally responsible production.
Handles and Strap
Both the top handle and the crossbody strap are made from reinforced vegetable-tanned leather, carefully bonded and hand-finished for comfort and longevity.
Leather Lined Interior
Fully lined in soft, neutral-tone leather, the interior reflects Globe-Trotter’s commitment to understated luxury. The tactile finish elevates the experience of every use, while offering gentle protection for your personal items.
Locks and Hardware
Hardware, including the clasp and strap fittings, is precision-engineered from carbon steel or solid brass and finished in gold, chrome, or other signature tones. Each component is selected for refined appearance and long-term performance.
Serial Plaque
Every bag includes a unique, individually numbered metal plaque inside. This plaque certifies authenticity and provides a permanent record of provenance.
