Vulcanised Fibreboard

The case body is constructed from Globe-Trotter’s signature Vulcanised Fibreboard, composed of 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources. These layers are bonded with zinc and compressed under steam and pressure, resulting in a shell that is both lightweight and exceptionally strong. This material is chosen for its durability, structural integrity, and timeless character.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather

All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.

Interior Lining

The interior is lined with a soft, padded material to ensure your eyewear is protected while exuding timeless elegance. The lining is selected for its gentle feel, durability, and complementary appearance, making it ideal for storing your eyewear collection.

Dividers

The case features precision-fitted leather concertina dividers, providing organized storage for up to four pairs of glasses. These dividers are crafted from the same vegetable-tanned leather, ensuring consistency in quality and appearance.

Lock and Hardware

The case is fitted with a polished lock and key, crafted from carbon steel or solid brass, and finished in gold, chrome, or signature tones. These components are selected for their secure functionality and refined presentation.

Dual-Branded Embossed Logo Patch

A dual-branded embossed leather logo patch with foil detailing is affixed to the case, signifying the collaboration between Cutler & Gross and Globe-Trotter and adding a touch of sophistication.

Serial Plaque

Each case contains a unique, individually numbered metal plaque inside, confirming authenticity and providing a permanent mark of provenance.
